For the first time in two decades, two Chinese panagolines in danger of extinction have been seen in Dongguan, the province of Guangdong, noting that there may be a reproductive population in the area, according to the Forest office of the city.

Two adult pangolines were captured in infrared cameras seeking food on April 26 and 26 on a forestry farm in the municipality of Zhangmutou, said the office. A young pangolin was also found on the farm in March. The cameras, which were installed after the younger pangolin was observed, recovered on Saturday to study.

The farm is in the center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay area. , and the appearance of the three animals indicates an ecology and the biological diversity of improvement, the result of greater protection of forests, the office said.
