China to launch first solar exploration satellite this year

Zhuhai, Guangdong, September 28 (Xinhua) - China plans to launch its first solar scan satellite this year, with a new hardware model on display at 13th China in progress Exhibition International Aviation and Aerospace, according to the developer of the satellite.

China will enter a new solar scanning era with the satellite launch, said Spaceflight Technology Shanghai Academy (Sense) under the Aerospace Science and Technology Corporate from China.

According to the SAST, the main payload on the satellite will be the Solar Hα image spectrometer, which will collect images of the sun in the Hα spectrum. It will help researchers observe changes in the sun during solar flares, such as changes in their temperature and atmospheric speed.

The satellite design includes the separation of its platform cabin and payload cabin, thus ensuring the accuracy of ultra high point and the stability of the payload.

China has established a soil-based solar monitoring network and carried out in research fields such as solar spectrum and solar magnetic fields, but it has not yet been Made a solar scan based on space.

Experts expect space-based solar scan to advance the basic research of China. In the Sun, I promote the development of relevant high-tech industries, and contributes to international solar physics research.

On September 24, the Sast launched a name campaign for the Solar Satellite. The name will be announced after the satellite is successfully sent to space. EndItem
