Hong Kong's business environment remains vibrant: official

Hong Kong: A main government official said on Tuesday that the Hong Kong business environment remains vibrant, since the number of commercial operations in Hong Kong from abroad and the continent came to a record EN 2021.

Edward Yau, Secretary of Trade and Economic Development of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong (H tupa) Government, made the comments at a business breakfast held by the Office of the European Union ( EU) To Hong Kong and Macao.

Yau said that Hong Kong is still an ideal place for companies to establish or expand their business despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The EU is one of the largest trading partners in Hong Kong in goods and services, and has established close business relationships with Hong Kong over the years, according to Yau.

As a free free economy with a robust legal system and a highly internationalized business environment, Hong Kong will continue to help local and international companies to take advantage of the enormous or portunitities presented by continental development, as well as its integration With regional and global markets, Yau said.

According to a survey published at the beginning of October by the HSAR government, the number of commercial operations in Hong Kong with father companies abroad and on the Chinese continent have increased by 10 percent of 8,225 in 2017 to 9,049 in 2021.

Another survey, the annual start survey 2021, found that the number of new companies in Hong Kong increased 68.5 percent to 3,755 during the same period.
