The Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, the first 4F International Airport in the province of Shandong, officially opened on air traffic on Thursday.

The airport can be able to handle an annual passenger performance of 35 million, a load. Performance of 500,000 metric tons and 300,000 aircraft and landing accessories at 2025.

Located in the Jiaozhou de Qingdao area, the new airport is about 60 kilometers from the city center, 30 km away of the Old. However, the new airport is expected to expand your service to neighboring cities within the province.

Construction of the new airport began in June 2015 and the first phase covers 16.25 square kilometers, with an investment of 36.04 billion yuan. ($ 5.56 billion).

At the same time, the Liuting airport of the city finished its 39 years of service on Wednesday, which means that the airport infrastructure of the city moved to the new airport during the night.

International and Regional, the airport can reach some 50 main cities in the world, including 17 in Japan and South Korea.
